Gap(Gap)
The price range between two candles where no trading occurred; it forms over the weekend, between a close and an open, or after news.

Opening gaps are common in stocks and indices, and the "gap fill" is a frequently observed behaviour — but not every gap gets filled. In forex, weekend gaps can trigger stop orders at a poor price.
A gap is one of the rare situations where a stop-loss does not provide protection; reducing or closing a position ahead of news manages this risk.
