DXY (US Dollar Index)(DXY (US Dollar Index))
An index measuring the US dollar's value against six major currencies (weighted toward the euro); it shows the dollar's overall direction at a glance.
Also written as: DXY · dolar endeksi
When the DXY rises, EURUSD tends to fall and gold tends to be pressured (inverse correlation). The index futures contract trades on ICE; on charts it is tracked under the symbol TVC:DXY.
Before opening a trade in a single pair, checking the DXY's direction shows you whether you are aligned with the "dollar story" or not.
