Short (sell) position(Short position)
Selling first with the expectation that the price will fall, then buying it back cheaper later. This is possible in CFD, futures and margin accounts.
Also written as: short pozisyon · short · satış pozisyonu · açığa satış
In stocks, short selling is done with borrowed shares and carries additional costs; in forex, CFDs and futures, opening a position on the sell side is just as easy as buying.
In a short position the theoretical loss is unlimited (the price can rise without limit); this makes a stop-loss even more important. Because declines tend to be faster than rallies, short trades usually last a shorter time.
