Tilt
A term from poker: the state of being unable to make rational decisions after an emotional breakdown. A trader on tilt has their rules switched off.
Tilt starts after a big loss, a missed move or a stop-out that felt unfair. Its symptoms are physical: fast breathing, tense shoulders, being glued to the screen.
The only effective fix is to step away from the screen. No decision made on tilt belongs to the plan; tagging those trades "tilt" in your trading journal makes the pattern visible.
