Discipline
The habit of executing the written plan whatever the outcome. In trading, success comes less from correct predictions than from rule-based repetition.
Discipline is a matter of system, not willpower: clear rules, checklists, predefined limits and a daily review. A vague plan can't be executed with discipline.
Process-focused measurement (percentage of plan adherence) is a better progress indicator than outcome-focused measurement (daily profit).
