FOMO (fear of missing out)

The urge to open an unplanned, late and oversized position out of fear of missing a move. It usually lands at the end of the move.

FOMO entries have no defined stop or target; the entry price is bad and risk/reward is low. The market produces new opportunities every day; a missed trade costs nothing, a chased trade costs money.

A practical safeguard: trade only setups written down in advance, and ban "urgent" entries driven by news or social media.
