Pros

  • Single-phase Prime programme: 10% target, 3% daily and 6% static max loss; no trailing drawdown on accounts of $50,000 and below
  • No consistency rule or news restriction on accounts of $50,000 and below; no time limit
  • Account sizes starting at $2,500 (fees from $29)
  • Payout requests every 14 days with a $100 threshold; own EAs are allowed (HFT, copying and arbitrage excluded)
  • Company details (address, registry number, group companies) are published on the site

Cons

  • Accounts are demo accounts with virtual funds; the firm states on its site that it provides no financial services and therefore needs no regulatory licence
  • On $100,000 and $200,000 accounts the max loss trails on end-of-day balance, a ±2 minute news restriction applies, and 1-Phase accounts have a 50% consistency rule (accounts opened after mid-2026)
  • Weekend holding is shown as 'limited'; the rule pages do not fully agree (commodities, energies, metals and crypto are said to need closing before the weekend)
  • Payout requirements depend on the account creation date (profitable-day counts / minimum trading days); the site's rule pages are not consistent with each other
  • Accounts left inactive for 21 days are closed; the fee is refundable only within 14 days of purchase and only with no trading activity

Full review

The Trading Pit (TTP) is a prop firm with CFD, futures and stock programmes. On its main CFD programme, Prime 1-Phase, the profit share is 80%; accounts run from $2,500 to $200,000 and fees start at $29.

Programmes. The CFD side has three products: Prime (1 or 2 phases), Classic (single phase; 7% max loss trailing on highest equity) and Instant (no evaluation). Futures and Stocks products sit on separate pages. This entry uses Prime 1-Phase, the default selection in the pricing configurator, as the main programme.

Prime 1-Phase rules. 10% profit target; 3% max daily loss (balance based) and a 6% static max loss. On $100,000 and $200,000 accounts (purchased on or after 29 April 2026) the max loss trails on end-of-day balance until it reaches the starting balance. At least 3 trading days; no time limit, but accounts inactive for 21 days are closed. Fees: $29 for $2,500, $49 for $5,000, $99 for $10,000, $199 for $20,000, $349 for $50,000, $569 for $100,000 and $1,139 for $200,000.

Profit and payouts. 80% profit share. Payouts can be requested every 14 days for amounts above $100; requests are reviewed within one working day. The trading-day requirements for payouts depend on the account creation date and the rule pages are not consistent with each other, so check the support pages before buying.

News, EAs and weekends. News trading is allowed on accounts of $50,000 and below; on $100,000/$200,000 accounts, opening trades or having pending orders triggered within 2 minutes before or after high-impact news is prohibited. You may use your own EA; copying others' signals, HFT, latency/hedge/arbitrage strategies and emulators are prohibited. Weekend holding is shown as "limited".

Platform and countries. The support pages name cTrader for the CFD programme ("cTrader and other popular platforms"); other platforms are not named. Unsupported countries: Burundi, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, South Sudan, Sudan; Türkiye is not on the list.

Company structure. TTP is run by The Trading Pit Challenge GmbH of Vaduz, Liechtenstein (registry no. FL-0002.693.417-1); group companies and addresses are listed in the site footer. According to its About page, TTP is majority-owned by Pinorena Capital, and the same page lists Pinorena Capital as a strategic investor in Tickmill (both are GLADIO sponsors).

Legal framing. The firm states that accounts are demo accounts with virtual funds and that, since it provides no financial services, it needs no regulation.

Sponsor note: The Trading Pit is one of GLADIO's sponsors. Data was taken from the firm's own site on 10 October 2026; promotions and prices change often, so check the current page before buying.
