Market structure
The sequence of lows and highs price forms. A break of structure (BOS) signals trend continuation, a change of character (CHoCH) a possible reversal.
In an uptrend structure, each new high is above the previous one and each new low is above the previous one. The break of the last low (CHoCH) is the first sign of weakness in the uptrend; if a lower high then forms, a downtrend structure has begun.
Reading structure needs no indicators and applies to every timeframe; it is the foundation of SMC/ICT approaches, but rests on the same principle as classic Dow theory.
